Search for a supplier by its TealBook Supplier ID
Input a TealBook Supplier ID within the TealBook SupplierID Filter and bring up the corresponding detailed supplier profile.
This will always bring up one supplier profile if the user provides a valid TealBook Supplier ID for a Legal Entity in our Master Data.
Note: This is an exact match meaning if the user has a typo in the TealBook Supplier ID they provide, then they may receive an incorrect supplier record or NO supplier profile will come up.
Search for a supplier by name (legal and alternate names)
Input a Supplier Name within the Supplier Name Filter to bring up a list of up to 100 detailed supplier profiles.
Note: This is a fuzzy match meaning that if the user types in “Burrito”, our search will surface 100 detailed supplier profiles that are ranked by how close those entities' legal or alternate name(s) match the user input “Burrito”.
Search for a supplier by service offerings
Search for a supplier by the goods or services they offer by entering detailed full words within the Offerings Filter. Our system will return up to 100 detailed supplier profiles that match it based on available business descriptions, goods and services tags, and industry code descriptions.
Note: This is a fuzzy match meaning that if the user types in “ultrasonic welding”, our search will surface 100 detailed supplier profiles that are ranked by how close those legal entities' business description(s), goods & services tag(s), and industry code description(s) match the user input.
Search for a supplier by supplier location (registered + non-registered addresses)
This encompasses the following search features:
- Search for a supplier by country.
- Search for a supplier by state/province.
- Search for a supplier by city.
- Search for a supplier by any combination of the above.
Enter the search term(s) in the Supplier Address Filter that you are interested in and our search will return up to 100 detailed supplier profiles that match that across the supplier’s registered and non-registered address(es).
Note: This is a fuzzy match meaning that if the user types in “Toronto, Canada”, our search will surface 100 detailed supplier profiles that are ranked by how close those legal entities' registered and non-registered address(es) match the user input.
It is important to note that our address data coverage is limited as we are getting addresses primarily from legal entity registries. This means a supplier may have an address on Google that they have not provided to those registries - that data will not currently show up in our Legal Entity Master Data.
Search for a supplier by diversity certification
This encompasses the following search features:
Active vs. non-expired certificates
By default only searching for suppliers with "ACTIVE" or non-expired certificates from the date of search.
Expired or no-expiry certificates
Allowing users to uncheck that default and search by expired certificates or those that we do not get an expiry date from, depending on the source.
Certification category (Diversity ONLY)
Search for a supplier by certification category (Diversity ONLY)
Certification sub-categories
Search for a supplier by one or multiple certification sub-categories (SBE, MBE, etc.), presented in user-friendly language via a multi-select searchable dropdown.
Certification subtypes
Search for a supplier by one or multiple certification subtypes (nativeHawaiian, 8a, etc.), presented in user-friendly language via a multi-select searchable dropdown.
Users can provide a combination of certification requirements that they are interested in and our search will return up to 100 detailed supplier profiles that match that across the supplier’s linked diversity certificates.
Note: Some diversity sources have been populated so that you can get familiarized with how the data will be displayed and searched. We are still sequencing and loading data so all certification data is not yet available in the Supplier Search Tool. The full diversity information is available in the Diversity Reporting we are providing including links to source data.
Search for a supplier by company number
Users can provide a company number and bring up the corresponding detailed supplier profiles.
This will always bring up one supplier profile if you provide a company number and a jurisdiction (selected from a user-friendly searchable dropdown), as that combination is unique for a Legal Entity in our Master Data. Providing a company number alone may result in multiple detailed supplier profiles, as company numbers may not be unique between multiple jurisdictions.
Note: This is an exact match meaning if the user has a typo in the Company Number they provide, then they may receive an incorrect supplier record or NO supplier profile will come up.
Search for a supplier by jurisdiction
Using the Jurisdiction Filter you can select a jurisdiction from a user-friendly searchable dropdown and surface up to 100 detailed supplier profiles for legal entities registered in that jurisdiction.
Note: This will always bring up one supplier profile if the user provides a company number and a jurisdiction, as that combination is unique for a Legal Entity in our Master Data. However, if a user selects just a jurisdiction, they will see up to 100 detailed supplier profiles for legal entities registered in that jurisdiction.
TIP: Users can use this in combination with other search fields to bring up a more refined list of suppliers.
Search for a supplier by supplier status
This encompasses the following search features:
Search for an active or inactive company, based on their status with their registry.
Search for a nonprofit company, based on their registration with their registry.
Search for a local branch, foreign branch, or non-branch entity, based on their classification with their registry.
Users can filter their search results by whether:
- A supplier is considered a non-profit.
- A supplier is considered inactive by their registry.
- A supplier is a branch of their company.
Note: This information is coming directly from the legal entity registry, meaning that there are nuances around branch and inactive status.
Search for a supplier by identifiers (Tax ID, LEI, Business Number)
Users can provide a Tax ID, Legal Entity Identifier as issued by GLEIF, or a business number and bring up the corresponding detailed supplier profile(s).
Note(s): This is an exact match meaning if the user has a typo in the Tax ID, Legal Entity Identifier, or business number provided, they may receive an incorrect supplier record or NO supplier profile will come up.
Our coverage of these identifiers varies widely based on jurisdiction and source.
Supplier profile features
Display attributes, their values, and associated metadata like trust score and source.
Search results display
- Supplier name(s),
- Company number and jurisdiction,
- Supplier address(es),
- Whether or not they have diversity certificates and the total number,
- Their status as reported by their registry.
Supplier profiles display the attributes we have on a supplier that will also show up in their enrichment reports.
Each displayed attribute value on the detailed supplier profile will also display their trust score (high/medium/low) and the source for that attribute value.
Allow users to share a specific supplier profile URL
Each supplier profile has a Share button that the user can click on to copy the URL to the specific supplier profile.
You can send the URL to any user within your organization and they can open the same specific supplier profile in their web browser as long as that user has access to Supplier Search.
