This latest release is focused on adding functionality to our Supplier Data Platform (SDP) that supports an eventual self-service model. There are two key areas where improvements were made:
1. Release of improved firm matching and new Teal iQ CSV exports (Diversity - No Spend, Consolidated Suppliers) from SDP to provide enriched vendor master data in select formats to more easily surface insights and drive changes to procurement strategy.
2. Release of improved quality for select data attributes - namely, Business Descriptions for connected suppliers, and firm-level Diversity Certifications.
New Features available to all users
Teal iQ: Increased match rate when enriching vendor master files gives clients access to more enriched data
Improvements in our pipelines allow us to now match more suppliers against a vendor master file. Both Tealbook Firms and Tealbook Establishments will now be matched against a client's supplier vendor master.
Updates have been made to both the Teal iQ Matched Suppliers Report and the retrieveMatchedRecords API. Updated API schema documentation can be found here

More matches mean more enriched data attributes driving better insights in to clients' supplier data.
Teal iQ: New Diversity - No Spend CSV export provides diversity specific insights to clients
|SDP users can now export a new Teal iQ Diversity focused CSV report without spend information to get diversity specific insights for each matched supplier record.
Clients can use these diversity specific insights to drive changes to their procurement strategy so that they can better hit their diversity related procurement goals.
Teal iQ: Consolidated Suppliers CSV export provides enriched data in the same format as the ingested vendor master to more easily derive insights
SDP users can now export a new Teal iQ Consolidated Suppliers CSV report that appends enriched data from establishment and firm matches to their original vendor master.
Clients can place this Teal iQ report into any spreadsheet software to slice and dice the data by a certain attribute column to gain insights into their supplier data.
Major Optimizations available to all users
Improved Data Quality: added Business Descriptions for connected suppliers
More suppliers now have Business Descriptions, along with additional attributes like:
- Annual Revenue
- Employee Count
- Year Founded
- Local Exchange Symbol
More NAICS information was also added to these suppliers.
These new Business Descriptions (along with the additional attributes) will show up in all Teal iQ exports that contain enriched data attributes (Teal iQ Matched Suppliers and Consolidated Suppliers CSVs).
With these attributes' data quality improved, we are able to better enrich vendor master data through both Teal iQ exports with more category information.
Improved Data Quality: refreshed firm-level Diversity Certifications
Refreshed Diversity Certifications show up in all CSV exports that contain diversity certification data attributes (Teal iQ Matched Suppliers and Diversity - No Spend CSVs).
With this attribute’s data quality improved, we are able to better enrich vendor master data through both CSV exports with Diversity specific insights.
